Why We're Here
We've been living abroad for a number of years in a number of countries. Everytime we move to a new country, the process of research begins. It's not just limited to expat health insurance, or new bank accounts, or expat relocation services - it also includes immigration services, healthcare, tax advice, compensation levels, local city life, my favorite food from home, the location of airports and more.

Having been through the process of moving overseas or relocating abroad several times, we've always wished there was a page that offered essentual information for moving and living abroad.  This page will not capture all that you will want or need to know about expat living or an expat life abroad but it will provide a great place to start.
Moving Abroad Tips
  • The Kid in the Red Jacket
When ten-year-old Howard has to move with his family to a distant state, he is forced to live on a street named Chester Pewe, adjust to a new school, and get used to being shadowed by the little girl in a nearby house.
  • Moving Pet to New Country
Discusses considerations when moving pets to a new country, including preparation and transporting, quarantine, restrictions, vaccinations, papers and clearing customs.
  • International Driving Permit
When moving overseas, it's a good idea to get an International Driving Permit. Not to be confused with the well-advertised, and illegal, International Driver's License. Know the difference so you're not caught with the wrong documentation.
  • Twilight: Young Adults 12 +
Twilight is a book about a young woman who moves to a rainy small town in Washington and there discovers that this town isn't as dull as it first seems.
  • Binding Estimates
Explains what a binding estimate quote is and what your rights are and what is required of the moving company.
